TriSight Partners with USC School of Cinematic Arts to Publicize “Tomorrow”

By: Fred Lee

In Spring 2014, TriSight Communications worked with filmmakers from the USC School of Cinematic Arts on their short film TomorrowTomorrow tells the story of two best friends in high school, Trevor (Zachary Roozen) and Clark (Daniel Rashid), growing up and having to face their feelings for each other at a New Year’s Eve party. Directed by Leandro Tadashi and written by Josh Johnson, the film is astonishing in its honesty and authenticity.

TriSight’s School of Cinematic Arts team created Press Notes to help publicize the film to local Los Angeles media outlets and film festivals across the country. The Press Notes included plot synopses, detailed bios and interviews with cast and crew and articles for online publishing. The filmmakers were also provided with lists of film festivals and media contacts that would be potentially interested in the film.

Throughout the summer, Farida Waquar, a member of TriSight’s School of Cinematic Arts team, went on to work with the filmmakers and act as their project publicist. Her hard work resulted in Tomorrow landing an article in Amplify Your Voice, an online magazine dedicated to covering topics surrounding sexuality and LGBT issues.

After first premiering at the Eileen Norris Cinema Theatre at USC, Tomorrow will be screened at the Fresno Reel Pride Gay & Lesbian Film Festival on September 20th, and then on October 7th at the Tampa International Gay & Lesbian Film Festival in Florida.
